An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale rocked the city of Bam in southeastern Iran. Thousands were been killed and over a hundred thousand lost their homes. Both local hospitals were destroyed.

GlobalMedic responded by sending a container of humanitarian aid. The aid consignment included 700 boxes of donated medical supplies, 7,000 blankets, winter coats, sleeping bags and tents.

The aid was distributed in the affected region to those in need.
