DMGF donated 30 hospital beds and 240 boxes of consumable medical supplies to help the people of Lebanon . These goods were loaded into a 40 foot sea container and shipped in June 2004. The arrived several weeks later at the West Bekaa Hospital in Lebanon . The beds and equipment were donated from Toronto area hospitals.
A private donor who runs a small restaurant in Montreal covered the shipping costs. Emigrating from Lebanon in the 70s, he wanted to give back to his community. This donation will improve the quality of care available to the people of West Bekaa.
