Search and Rescue Training in Thailand

Mission in Thailand

May 2007

Foundation director, Rahul Singh developed and taught a course on Search and Rescue principles to commissioned members of the Royal Thai Police Force. During the course, a 25 year old female German national became lost in the jungles of Southern Thailand. The unit was called upon to conduct a Search and Rescue Operation. Mr. Singh was given operational command of 75 police officers, 125 civilian volunteers, and 6 police vehicles including a helicopter. The mission ended successfully when the female was found on the third day. DMGF is currently working on developing more training packages to be delivered to different regions of Thailand.
