HAITI: EARTHQUAKE RESPONSE 2010

It is with great sadness that we write to inform you that a tragic accident took the life of Glaizil Guinson, 26, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti yesterday.

Glaizil had been working with GlobalMedic and our partner ADRA since January 16th, as a part of our Eagle motorcycle team, providing clean drinking water from the back of his bike for the past two months. Glaizil’s passing occurred on his personal day off work. Glaizil’s death follows the loss of his wife in the January 12th earthquake. He leaves behind a 12 month old son and is survived by his brother and Aunt.

The loss of Glaizil is truly a tragic moment for our Eagles team and GlobalMedic. Glaizil was an integral part of our water purification team. He will be missed by our team and remembered for being the joker of the group, always laughing and brightening peoples’ day. Our hearts and thoughts go out to all his family and friends. We will miss you Glaizil.
