YEMEN: COMPLEX EMERGENCY RESPONSE

Since March 2015, the conflict in Yemen has been escalating and families are in increasingly vulnerable situations. Eighty per cent of the population will need some form of humanitarian assistance in 2019, including 14.3 million people who are in acute need.

On top of this, Yemen is currently suffering from one of the worst cholera outbreaks in recent history with over 1.4 million suspected cases and close to 3000 related deaths.

GlobalMedic is responding.

Today, our volunteers assembled 2,070 Rainfresh Family Emergency Kits that will be shipped to Yemen to support families affected by this crisis. These FEKs contain a Rainfresh Household Water Purification System, which can provide a family with safe, clean drinking water for up to a year. The kits also contain a hygiene kit and other items to help families stay clean and healthy.
