 EARTHQUAKE RESPONSE 2011 

On October 23, 2011 at 13:41 local time the Van earthquake shook eastern Turkey with a 7.1 magnitude tremor. Weeks later, a second earthquake struck November 9, with a magnitude of 5.7. These natural disaster resulted in over 600 deaths, and thousands more injured. The damage to infrastructure was vast leaving 60,000 people homeless.

GlobalMedic’s Rapid Response Team responded to the need and implemented our Emergency Medical Program.

Thousands were now able to receive medial care which improved the recovery and resiliency of this community after two earthquakes.
